Product Description

Tectyl 506-WD is a high-performance anti-corrosion agent with a high solids content and excellent water-displacing properties. Diluted with solvent and supplied in a large 20-litre container, it is ideal for protecting metal surfaces in marine, automotive, and industrial environments — especially where moisture is present.

Surface Preparation

Ensure surfaces are clean and free from rust, oil, or scale. Thanks to its water-displacing action, Tectyl 506-WD can also be applied to damp surfaces. Recommended substrate temperature: 10–35 °C.

Removal

Remove the protective film using petroleum-based solvents, hot alkaline cleaning baths, or high-pressure steam.

Storage

Store the product at 10–35 °C in a dry place. Stir gently before use. Shelf life: minimum 3 years when properly stored.
