Withdrawal sleeves – precise bearing mounting on cylindrical journals
A withdrawal sleeve is an essential mounting component used for seating bearings with a tapered bore onto cylindrical shaft journals. At e-marat.pl, we offer solutions that enable stable installation on both smooth and stepped shafts. The sleeve is pressed directly into the bearing bore, ensuring a rigid and durable mechanical connection.
Our bearing sleeves feature a slotted design, guaranteeing a perfect fit to the shaft diameter. Our product range includes models with a standard 1:12 taper as well as specialized 1:30 versions dedicated to spherical roller bearings from the 240 and 241 series.
Hydraulic mounting and securing techniques
For larger-sized components, we offer withdrawal sleeves designed for hydraulic installation. They feature integrated oil ducts and grooves which, when connected to a pump, facilitate mounting a bearing on a withdrawal sleeve and its subsequent removal by creating an oil film between the contacting surfaces.
Important purchasing tips:
- Withdrawal sleeves must be ordered separately – they are not supplied as a set with the bearing.
- To properly locate the sleeve on the shaft, the use of a locknut or an end plate is required, both of which are also available in our product range.
- The use of a sleeve allows for secure bearing seating without the need for expensive machining or threading of the entire shaft.
